Each week, we look to expand members’ knowledgebase with our #ALDThursdayTheme posts on Instagram. We also look to highlight various heritage months and provide members and chapters with ideas to help #ALDcelebrateDEIB.

ALD’s DEIB Calendar 2023

To help our chapters celebrate diversity, we created a calendar of major DEI months, weeks, and days. Though not all are included, chapters may celebrate the DEI events they feel best apply to them. We’ve also included ideas for celebrating.

During ALD’s Fall 2021 Leadership Summit, we heard from keynote LaTia Sinclair about how to help your chapter celebrate diversity. LaTia discussed the “6 C’s of Inclusive Leadership” and how embracing diversity will make you a stronger leader.

DEIB Training For Your Chapter

If your chapter is looking to host a diversity training, look no further! We’ve developed a diversity training you can add to a chapter meeting or event. It reviews basic DEIB terms and has three activities to help your members better understand the concepts being explained.
