Alpha Lambda Delta and The Fund for American Studies (TFAS) are pleased to announce that inducted student members will be eligible for merit-based $2000 scholarships for a TFAS summer or semester program with the opportunity for additional awards based on need and merit.

For more than 50 years, The Fund for American Studies, in partnership with George Mason University, has been educating student leaders from across the nation and world. They offer summer and semester academic internship programs that combine rigorous courses for academic credit with competitive internships, leadership development activities, and lectures led by prominent policy experts.

Special scholarship consideration will be given to student members of Alpha Lambda Delta. The scholarships will be awarded by TFAS on a competitive basis and will be applied toward each recipient's overall cost. No money will be paid directly to the scholarship recipients.

Applications are reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis until the final deadline for spring, summer, and fall programs. In addition, there are Priority Deadlines for Scholarships in order to receive special consideration; . Members of ALD are eligible to receive priority scholarship awards towards the cost of the program including an automatic $2,000 scholarship (with the possibility of more based on need and merit). To be eligible for the special scholarships just indicate your ALD affiliation on application materials.

The Osgood Center for International Studies is proud to be a partner with Alpha Lambda Delta to offer a $500 scholarship to be applied to the cost of its internship program in Washington, D.C. 

The Osgood Center is a nonprofit educational organization that provides short-term academic seminars and semester or term internships for students in all major fields in the nation’s capital.  Known for its quality programming, individual attention and exceptional experiential activities, the Osgood Center allows college students the opportunity to have a professional-style internship experience that will help them achieve their academic and career goals.

The Osgood Center Washington Experience is a personalized, academic leadership and professional development program that includes an internship, academic coursework, an experiential education seminar and leadership training. The purpose is to enhance a student’s academic, career, and personal goals to prepare for leadership in the professional world. Of all U.S. cities, Washington, D.C. is among the very best places for a college student to gain new confidence and leadership abilities to make valuable contributions to society in his or her chosen field.

The amount of $500 is awarded to any intern who is an inductee of Alpha Lambda Delta. This amount is deducted from the full cost of the program and does not apply when additional institutional discounts or scholarships are otherwise awarded. 


The PhD Project is a unique diversity initiative that encourages African-American, Native Americans, and Hispanic-Americans to pursue their Ph.D.’s in business to serve as role models and mentors for minority business students. Since our inception in 1994, we have more than quintupled the number of minority business professors from just 294 to over 1,470 today.  The PhD Project is an information resource for minorities interested in learning more about business doctoral programs in Accounting, Finance & Economics, Information Systems, Management or Marketing.  

The PhD Project hosts an invitation only conference for minority professionals considering doctoral studies. This conference takes place in Chicago each November and the application deadline is September 30th. The PhD Project will cover all travel, hotel and conference expenses for those who are invited to attend. There is a nominal $200 registration fee (which is waived for full time students.)   Those who apply must be entering their senior year of college by the time they attend the conference or already possess a minimum of an undergraduate degree. Interested Alpha Lambda Delta members are encouraged to apply.

The SV Academy Business Development Fellowship is a free, 10-week, skill building and mentorship program that connects job-seekers with employers hiring for full-time sales and marketing roles in Silicon Valley and New York. United Planet is pleased to provide three special global opportunities for Alpha Lambda Delta members:

  • One merit-based scholarship for an inducted student member of each Alpha Lambda Delta chapter per calendar year in the amount of $500 (for any United Planet international program in one of over 35 countries)

  • Five merit-based scholarships for alumni in every Alpha Lambda Delta chapter per calendar year in the amount of $500 (for any United Planet international program in one of over 35 countries)

  • Preferred program fees and support for chapter, society-wide, and alumni groups

Since 2001, United Planet has provided colleges and universities with short-term (1 week to 3 month), long-term (6 month and one year) bridge year, and customized group volunteer programs in over 35 countries focusing on education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability. While abroad, individuals and groups participate in local community projects and internships while becoming immersed in new cultures through home stays, language practice, cultural activities and excursions. United Planet prides itself on developing personalized programs to match each student’s unique interests and learning goals, as well as comprehensive safety and risk management policies and complete cultural immersion.

United Planet will award the scholarships on a first come, first serve basis to one member from each ALD chapter and up to five alumni of Alpha Lambda Delta. The scholarship will be applied toward each recipient’s overall Quest cost.  No funds will be paid directly to scholarship recipients. Applicants must be inducted members of Alpha Lambda Delta. Awards are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.  All applications must be received at least 75 days before the start of desired Quest program.

The Washington Internship Institute’s semester-long academic internship program is carefully designed to provide college sophomores, juniors, seniors, and recent graduates with practical, hands-on experience and academically rigorous courses emphasizing public service, leadership and professional development.

All inducted student members of Alpha Lambda Delta will be awarded a $500 merit-based scholarship for the Washington Internship Program. Select Alpha Lambda Delta on your Intern Profile and the Washington Internship Institute will use this information to verify your membership.
